classification of network

DO YOU KNOW THE CLASSIFICATION OF NETWORK  ???

For this time i'm gona share three calssification of network

1) LAN (Local Area Network)

2) WAN (Wide Area Network)

3) MAN ( Metropolitan Area Network) 

How are LAN, MAN and WAN different ?

These network are differ in 3 ASPECT :

-Size/area of coverage ( aspect 1)

-Network ownership ( aspect 2 )

-Degree of specially of application/purposes ( aspect 3 )

                                                                            LAN 

                    Technically, two connected PCs next to each other can be considered a LAN .

WHAT IS LAN ??? 

+ Size/ area coverage 

    - Connects computer and devices in a limited geographical area

+ Network  ownership 

    - Manage by private/personal used

    - Manage by Organization/group 

+ Example 

    - home, school computer laboratory 

DO LAN HAVE ADVANTAGES AND DISADVANTAGES ??

Of course .. there will be an advantages and disadvantages that we can see in LAN

1) Easy to share devices (printer,scanner ,etc)                     1) Power-a good LAN is required to be                                                                                                        ON all the times

2) Easy to share data ( hw, pic, lecture notes)                      2) Security-each compute & devices                                                                                                             bcome point of entry for malicious

3) Setup cost is low                                                               3) Area covered is limited

The media use to send communication signals between devices.

Disadvantages of network

1) Secret information leaked
2) Spread of computer viruses
3) Netwrok can fail
